Highly refractive glass with anomalous partial dispersion provides image sharpness from edge to edge and a built-in front filter with environmental sealing protects the optic under harsh shooting conditions. An integrated focal plane shutter provides action-stopping flash sync up to 1/500th of a second.

Dedicated Autofocus Motor

Central Shutter Technology
Employing a new Central Shutter system, the lens can reach an action-stopping flash sync of up to 1/500th of a second.
